The OFT Xtreme Team
The members who manage Xtreme Adventures are all business colleagues and ride partners who have a passion for dual sport riding. They are also all actively involved in the Xtreme Team riding initiative which raises funds for the MOC foundation.
While they can ride (a bit) their ideology is simple, not one person rides better than the other and as long as we look out for each other on the rides we all get home in one piece.
Ultimately, it’s about each rider's experience and memories of the ride, not the race….....
Geoff O is 53 years old and his riding passion started during University and consisted of mostly MX and Off-Road riding on two stroke motorcycles. He stopped riding to pursue business interests for 25 years and started riding again after being challenged to ride a Transkei Xtreme trail with his business colleagues.
During this time he became interested in Dual Sport bikes and fell in love with the KTM LC8 Dual sport engine and bought his first KMT 990R in 2012 and started alternating weekly training rides with Dirt and Dual sport riding.
Alfie Cox is a South African motorbike racing legend. He was awarded his Springbok colours in 1988 and an MSA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002. He is a nine time Roof of Africa Rally Winner, and has won multiple South African Enduro & Off Road Championships.
Kyle is an IT Specialist whose riding passion started when he was just 4 years old.
After a few years of social riding on many different bikes, Kyle was introduced to the Motocross track and went on to win multiple Club and Regional MX Championships as well as representing South Africa in the African MX Championships.
He now enjoys riding socially on Off-road and dual sport adventure bikes.
Geoff B is 52 years of age and was never allowed to have a motorbike as a teenager, however, having finished National Service his first priority was to buy an off-road bike. Geoff B moved to PE and met up with the infamous Glover from Red Cherry for a ride in the Transkei.
As far as Geoff is concerned there can be nothing better than a dual sport adventure ride or the KTM 300 to take on the challenge of one or two tiny rocky climbs on some of the original Winterberg Mountain Race routes.
Grant is 52 years old and after many years of riding dirt bikes and then, another “many years” riding superbikes, Grant was always against the so-called “best of both worlds” adventure biking.
After owning 34 bikes (yes he is that old!) from all the major manufacturers, he believes that the 990 is without a doubt the best all round package that he has ridden.
So, it wasn't long and he sold off the Super-bike and kept the Dirt and Dual sport rides!
